A blue Chevy Silverado was stopped in the HOV lane on I-15 southbound milepost 335. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was standing outside between the truck and the concrete barrier. It was dark and traffic was approaching the Silverado at freeway speeds. A silver Malibu was in the HOV lane and had another vehicle ahead of it swerve the last second to the right. The driver of the Malibu swerved to the left, clipped the rear of the Silverado, struck the pedestrian (35 yr old driver) and crashed along the concrete wall. The male pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene. The Malibu was occupied by a 25 yr old male and another male passenger, both sustained minor injuries. There is a possibility the 35 yr old male was changing his left rear wheel.
