Extra DUI Enforcement Is Happening Now Through Labor Day

WHAT: With the last summer holiday around the corner, the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) is urging Utahns to plan a sober ride before drinking this Labor Day Weekend. Additional DUI enforcement is happening statewide; 36 Police agencies are working over 230 shifts for the Labor Day holiday. To highlight the consequences of driving impaired, five UHP troopers with the DUI Squad will offer a ride-along to members of the media. DPS hopes that footage from DUI patrols will illustrate the dangers and consequences of impaired driving for everyone involved.
