On Saturday July 13, 2024 at approximately 3:54am UHP troopers responded to a crash involving multiple vehicles and two pedestrians about 900 W I-215 W EB. I-215 W EB has been closed at Redwood Rd as troopers investigate the incident.
Prior to the crash a dark SUV pulled to the shoulder and a female exited the vehicle and entered the right travel lane. A silver Kia Spectra struck the female. The male driver of the pulled over SUV then exited the vehicle and was subsequently struck by a dark Volkswagen Tiguan as he moved towards the female victim. The female was pronounced dead on scene and the male was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
The victims have been identified as Julianna R Castro, 22, Ogden, UT and Victor H De La Rosa 23, Ogden, UT.
