On August 15, 2026, at approximately 2222 hours, Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash near mile marker 39 on I-80 westbound. A Honda passenger car with five occupants left the roadway to the left and overturned. Two occupants from the vehicle were ejected. One of the ejected occupants suffered fatal injuries. All other occupants were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation
