I-15 northbound near milepost 178 is closed while crews on scene investigate a fatal crash. Multiple vehicles are involved, one confirmed fatal and four other individuals were transported to the hospital. Crews are on scene actively investigating the crash. Traffic is being rerouted onto SR-50 in Delta. Expect delays in the area for approximately three more hours.
UPDATE: A semi-truck pulling a box trailer and flatbed trailer was traveling north on I-15 near mile marker 184, the semi lost control on the snow-covered/icy roadway and ran off the road to the right hitting the cable barrier. The semi came to rest with both trailers blocking the northbound travel lanes. Three vehicles struck the semi, resulting in several minor injuries and one fatality. Northbound I-15 at this location is now open.
