On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at approximately 6:41 pm, a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was eastbound on Interstate 70 near milepost 45. The vehicle left the roadway to the right and traveled a distance on the shoulder before it rolled several times ejecting the driver. The 61-year-old male driver was evaluated by medical and determined to be deceased at the scene. There were no lane closures beyond a brief stoppage of eastbound traffic for the drone to operate.
