On Thursday, August 8, 2024, at about 9:47 am, a single passenger vehicle impacted the crash attenuator on the south edge of the roadway and subsequently rolled. The car then caught on fire and burned. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was pulled from the car by a motorist who witnessed the crash. The driver was transported in critical condition. Troopers are investigating to see if impairment was a factor in the crash. Lane 1 on the eastbound side was closed for approximately 45 minutes. Lanes 1 and 2 are closed on the westbound side.
