On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 11:36 PM, members of the Price City Police Department, Helper City Police Department, and the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a domestic violence incident. An officer-involved shooting occurred involving multiple officers. The incident took place in Price, UT, and resulted in the death of a 31-year-old male involved party. The Utah State Bureau of Investigation has been requested to conduct an Officer Involved Critical Incident (OICI) investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. This investigation is currently in its early stages, and additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
