On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 6:03 am, a red Ford truck was traveling northbound on I-15 at about 200 South. The driver lost control and spun off the roadway to the left into the median. The Ford rolled multiple times in the median and came to rest between northbound and southbound I-15. As the vehicle rolled, the driver was unrestrained and was ejected. The driver was thrown into the southbound lanes of I-15. I-15 southbound was closed, and all traffic was diverted to I-80. The 26-year-old male driver sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Initial indications show that the driver may have lost control due to icy conditions in the area. The left two northbound lanes were also closed during the investigation.
