Grand County, UT-On July 14, 2024 at approximately 12:16PM a white Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound on SR-191 near mile post 151. The suburban entered northbound oncoming lane at a high rate of speed and struck a motorhome pulling a GMC Canyon head on. The driver, and two passengers were killed in the crash. Two additional passengers in the suburban and two occupants of the motorhome were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Troopers are investigating impairment as a contributing factor in the crash.
**The victims of the Suburban have been identified as driver Derik Hurst, 31, Mancos, CO. Passengers, Shandi R Hurst, 28, Mancos, CO and 1 month old female, Mancos, CO.**
